All About Me
My Story
My doula journey started after the birth of my one and only child in 2010. An amazing woman supported me on my baby's birthday and even though some of the details are foggy, I know that her support helped me achieve my birth goals. Her constant encouragement, physical, and emotional support was so vital. It moved me to join the doula community in hopes of being a positive impact on one of the most important days in a birthing person's life.

I completed the necessary training and received my Birth Doula Certification from DONA International in 2013. I have taken a number of additional classes to help me be a better doula. I started working exclusively with the Midwives at OMG in Hinsdale in 2015. I have supported over 250 women since I began this amazing work and I am looking forward to supporting many more.

I am also a childbirth educator. Currently, my doula services and class are offered only to the patients of OMG.

Personally, I am mom to a 13 year old boy and a 3 year old Yorkie, and I've been married to my amazing husband for 19 years. We live in the south suburbs and love all things sports. I grew up in Vancouver, Canada and moved to Illinois in 2005. My post secondary education is in criminology, definitely a far cry from doula work!

Childbirth Education
Are you a patient of the Midwives of OMG? And would you like to learn about birth at Hinsdale Hospital? I've got the perfect class for you! Created with the midwives, this class aims to answer all your questions about birth. I teach this class virtually and in-person at the Hinsdale office.
