Meet The Team
Karishma Darji
Meet Karishma! She has been a certified doula for 11 years and has been with OMG for 9 years. She has supported over 250 births and has extensive experience supporting both unmedicated and medicated births including many VBACs. She is excited to support you and your partner as you navigate pregnancy, labor, and delivery. She also teaches the comprehensive childbirth education class, A to Z with OMG, since 2022.
Her career path changed after the birth of her son in 2010. Her own doula had such a positive impact on her that she changed focus and immersed herself fully into the birth world. She has taken many different classes throughout her training and career to help you through labor. Her doula training includes Hypnobirthing classes, the Bradley Method series, a Spinning Babies workshop, and a TENS unit and Pressure Point class for pregnancy and labor.
Along with her doula bag of tricks, she will bring a calm energy to your birth and will empower you to make decisions that are best for you and your family. Her support will remain steadfast for you and your partner as you navigate the joyous and, sometimes, unpredictable journey that is labor and delivery. She will tailor her support to the needs of the laboring person because no two laboring people are the same. Her goals for your birth are that you felt supported and respected throughout your experience.
Christa Burns
Meet Christa! A compassionate soul who has been on the OMG Doula team since early 2022. Christa's role as a Certified Birth & Bereavement Doula is more than just a profession; it's a heartfelt calling rooted in her personal journey. Her expertise as a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Certified Breastfeeding Educator, and knowledge in Spinning Babies and hypnobirthing techniques speak volumes of her dedication to supporting families through every step of their birthing experience.
Christa's own story, including a doula of her own and the profound loss of her son in 2020, ignited a fire within her to offer unwavering support to parents facing both joyous and heartbreaking moments of birth.
With a profound belief that birth varies and there's no universal "right way" to birth, Christa approaches each experience with adaptability, empathy, and a calming presence, ensuring every parent feels heard, supported, and respected. She embraces all types of births, creating a warm atmosphere with hands-on comfort measures and a strong focus on evidence based information and empowerment.
Beyond her doula work, Christa cherishes time outdoors with her family and homeschooling her two living children with the loving support of her husband, forming the backbone of her nurturing approach to parenthood.

Sara Duran
Sara has been a doula for 10 years and with OMG since 2022. She is a Certified Birth Doula, Pre and Post Natal Fitness Coach, and a Body Ready Birth Pro. She always knew that her calling would be to help people, but she found her way to birth work through the birth of her first baby. Sara was uninsured and uncertain but found a midwife and doula team who that made her feel completely at ease. Despite that birth not going anywhere near to plan, Sara felt supported and safe and empowered through her entire pregnancy and delivery. This is the kind of consistent and well-informed support that she brings to her practice. Every baby will come into this world differently and every delivery will be different. Sara is ready to help parents navigate their choices and help them bring about the positive experience that they envision.
Sara received her coaching certification so she can mix her own passion for fitness with her passion for birth work. It is important to her that pregnant bodies be recognized as strong and capable. She helps to direct her clients on how best to move safely and with strength through pregnancy so that the body is ready for birth and beyond. Acquiring her Certified Birth Pro status with the Body Ready Method allows her to take that one step farther by addressing movement patterns or simple exercises to help alleviate the aches and pains that come with pregnancy. Sara is currently working on the path to become a Midwife.
